The first of the zucchini, summer squash, whathaveyou has arrived. Weight: 1lb 10 oz. Taste: delicious. I saw some female flowers getting ready to open when I picked these beaut's so more is on the way (obviously).

We usually can't get squash to finish for us. The borers got the acorn squash this year and the rollie pollies are quickly doing in the butternuts and cucumbers. We have been relying on the farmers market here for our cucurbit fix. It's been mostly a nightshade family season this time around the sun.
That is a cool shirt. I like the spade in the air.
